I do not have personal experience with how the wave behaves with the winds that are in the forecast. We will have the 6,000 speed necessary and there is a slight gradient through FL180. Further, NOAA calls for a sharp temperature inversion at 9,000, all good. The winds will be 320-330. This angle could work, but I have not flown it so don't know for sure. Please investigate and let me know how it goes. Mid-day thermal activity will probably destabilize the wave if there is wave, so: get the frost off the wings and fly as early as you can. |
